This handcrafted Norwegian knife from the 1970s is a fine example of traditional Nordic folk art craftsmanship. It features a forged steel blade with a visible maker’s signature, paired with a richly figured curly birch handle, a material long valued in Scandinavian knife making.
The handle displays striking natural grain with warm golden and amber tones, along with minor surface marks visible in the photos. The knife is housed in an exceptional hand-carved leather sheath, decorated with deeply carved feather or leaf motifs in relief on both sides. The sheath is initialed “T K,” marking the work of the leather artisan.
Preserved in excellent vintage condition, the knife appears unused and structurally sound. The blade and sheath are both well maintained, making this a strong collectible for those interested in Nordic craft traditions.
