A charming Scandinavian bentwood tine from the 1910s, beautifully suited today as a unique jewelry box. Its warm honey colored surface and delicate burnt folk art decoration give it a soft, decorative presence while still showing its original purpose and age.
This piece is a traditional Scandinavian tine, also known as a svepask, made from steam bent wood in a classic oval form. The overlapping construction is secured with small fasteners, and the lid is held in place by two upright locking tabs. The surface decoration is created using pyrography, a traditional folk art technique. It dates to the 1910s.
Perfect as a jewelry box, keepsake holder, or decorative storage piece. Its size and character make it ideal for holding small personal items while adding a touch of Scandinavian heritage to any interior.
