Step back into the golden age of German travel accessories with this elegant Kienzle 7 Rubis mechanical travel alarm clock from the 1950s. Designed to fold neatly into its compact protective case, it combines practical engineering with the refined aesthetics of mid century European design.

Produced by Kienzle, one of Germany’s most respected clock manufacturers, this model features a striking black dial with applied gold-tone markers, faceted crystal, and a brass-tone case housed within its original beige leatherette folding cover. A particularly unusual feature is the single winding wheel on the rear. Turning the wheel in one direction winds the alarm mechanism, while turning it in the opposite direction winds the clock movement itself, eliminating the need for separate winding controls.

At inspection the clock is running and the alarm function activates correctly. Timegrapher testing showed approximately +26 seconds per day with an amplitude around 171 degrees. As with all vintage mechanical clocks, long-term accuracy cannot be guaranteed and servicing history is unknown.
